60 GHz AiP Gesture & Presence Radar Module Development Kit (57–64 GHz, 2T2R)

From $19.00

Development board, not just a module. The development kit price includes a configuration GUI, firmware for different applications, a flashing guide, and light engineering changes for your setup. Embedded firmware and GUI source code are not included. Need source code, custom firmware, or the bare module in volume? Module-only pricing is much lower, with support scoped separately. Compact 42 × 8 mm 60 GHz (57–64 GHz) FMCW radar module with antenna-in-package (AiP, 2T2R), sold as a development kit for touch-free gesture control and presence-sensing projects. Not an FCC-certified end product. Development kit — you will confirm the Buyer Terms at checkout.

  • Development kit: the board plus the configuration GUI, firmware builds, a flashing guide, and light engineering support. For evaluating the radar and building a product.
  • DIY board: the bare board pre-flashed with the firmware you pick, plus UART interface notes. No GUI, tools, or support. For makers who read the output over UART.
  • Firmware: Gesture recognition for touch-free panels and appliances; Presence, ceiling mount with the board on the ceiling facing down; Presence, wall mount with the board on a wall facing the room (up to about 6 m).

Buying in volume? Bare modules in quantity cost far less per unit than a development kit, and custom firmware or mounting can be built in.

SKU: AM162AACS00AA-ABMD Category: Tag:

AM162AACS00AA-ABMD is a 60 GHz FMCW radar module with the antennas built into the chip package (AiP, two transmit and two receive channels). The narrow 42 × 8 mm strip fits behind a bezel, a lamp cover, or an appliance panel. Kymopsis sells it as a development kit for product developers and integrators.

What you are buying

This is a development board, not a bare module. The development kit price covers the radar board plus the support around it: a configuration GUI, application firmware builds, a flashing guide, and light engineering changes for your setup.

Source code is not included. Kymopsis does not supply embedded firmware source code or GUI source code with any edition. If you need source code, custom firmware, or the bare module in volume, send the B2B form or email [email protected] for a custom quote. Module-only volume pricing is much lower, and the support level is agreed separately.

Where it is used

  • Touch-free gesture control (datasheet function): six gestures (swipe left, right, up, down, push, pull) for range hoods, hobs, microwaves, dishwashers, mirror lights, ceiling lamps, smart toilets, car-cabin screens and sunroofs, TVs, projectors, kiosks, and meeting panels.
  • Presence and occupancy sensing (development use): presence and micro-motion detection, zone occupancy, and switching lights or appliances on and off. Choose the ceiling-mount or wall-mount presence firmware to match how the board faces the room.

Supplier datasheet figures

The figures below come from the supplier datasheet. They are not a Kymopsis lab report.

What the pictures show

The gallery shows both sides of the module, the board with its connection lead, the mechanical drawing with the antenna area marked, and the pad layout.

Connection lead included

The board comes with a lead that plugs into its connector and ends in female Dupont plugs, so it connects straight to 2.54 mm pin headers on an ESP32, Arduino or USB-UART adapter. No soldering is needed.

Pre-flashed firmware

Pick the application when you order and the board ships flashed with it:

  • Gesture recognition: six hand gestures at 0–1.5 m, for panels and appliances.
  • Presence, ceiling mount: board on the ceiling, antenna facing down over the area.
  • Presence, wall mount: board on a wall or a device front, antenna facing into the room; range up to about 6 m according to the chip-platform supplier data, depending on mounting height and the room.

The development kit includes the firmware builds for all three applications, so you can reflash the board later. The DIY board ships with the one you choose.

Editions

  • Development kit (USD 59): the board plus a configuration GUI, application firmware builds, a flashing guide, and light engineering changes for your setup.
  • DIY board (USD 19): the bare board pre-flashed with the firmware you choose, with UART interface notes (output format and basic commands) provided after purchase. No GUI, no tools, and no engineering support.

Neither edition includes embedded firmware or GUI source code.

Regulatory status

This module is not FCC certified and this page does not claim CE or any other certification. It is not an authorized transmitter for unrestricted installation or operation. It is sold as a development kit for engineers, developers, and integrators.

If your finished product needs its own equipment authorization, use the B2B program. Kymopsis can scope the integration and support the laboratory and TCB process. Kymopsis does not issue FCC grants.

Questions

Is this module FCC or CE certified?

No. It is sold as a development kit for engineers and integrators, not as an authorized end product.

Why does the kit cost more than the bare module?

The kit price includes the GUI, firmware, flashing guide, and light engineering help. Bare modules in volume are quoted separately through B2B, with lower pricing and a support level agreed per project.
